Thule accident

On January 21, 1968 USAF B-52 bomber carrying four thermonuclear bombs crashed near Thule Air Base, Greenland. Six crew members of seven survived. Nuclear payload dispersed and caused radioactive contamination. After that USA and Denmark launched an intensive clean-up and recovery operation.
